Not Again.......

So I picked up the paper today to see if my letter to the editor was published.  Guess what...it was!!!! Along with another letter from Stephen Ardrey.  I won't respond to this one in the RCHE but I will on my blog   

I think that Mr. Ardrey has more than proven the point I was trying to make in my letter to the editor.  He wants to call the mayor and alderman bullies??!!  Let's not forget the days when his grandfather was mayor - that was a bully!!!  It was Clyde's way or the highway!!!  He wants to say that there is a time and place to use foul language and the city council meeting isn't it??  I won't disagree - but hellooooooo Mr. Ardrey  - people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones - once again - lets ask anyone who was ever at a meeting where his grandfather presided if there was foul language. 

And really Mr. Ardrey - if there are better people out there to run the town of Center - why haven't they run?  Why do we have to beg those who are on the council and the mayor to run again?  Where are these better suited people?  I hope you aren't talking about the last person who ran against my dad for mayor.  Geesh - Center residents would be, well, unintelligent if they went that route.

I won't defend my fathers actions at the last council meeting - what he did was wrong.  I understand that he was upset and I know my father - he doesn't upset easily.  I am so glad I wasn't there - because I am sure there would have been an even better article for Mr. Statler to print.

And Mr. Statler and his Sunshine Law - what entity in this county has he not accused of abusing it?  Take a rest Gene - there aren't as many conspiracies in this county as you think.  I am not even going near the 911 board - since you have such an issue with them.  Or is it the director you have a problem with?  Not sure and don't care.  I do wish you would have printed a story about the rest of the county offices and the auditor's reports on them.  I am sure most of the county is more interested in those that 911's.  911 is sales tax based and funded.  People have a choice everytime they pay sales tax in Ralls County to support them or not. 

Ok - I am done for today.  I know my blog isn't as well thought out as the gadfly's, but I just open a new post and type away until I feel better.  Soon it will just be me bitching about ordinary mundane everyday stuff that goes on in my life.  But if you want to offer advice - feel free.  I may take it and I may not.
