So, I was reading the RCHE today, and I am really really really steamed. But I won't be writing a letter to the editor - oh no no - what I have to say can't be printed in a weekly newspaper for the public.
Dear Mr. Statler:
You are a biased, unfair, unobjective shit stirring reporter. You quote the Center City Clerk but you don't bother to call 911 to get the other side of the story!!! I find that reprehensible. If you want to report the news - do it fairly. You only give one side of the story when it was obvious you had read other media outlets who had spoken with 911 yet you don't take the time to call and get a statement yourself? How small a man can you be? I wonder if you have a problem with 911 in general or someone in particular? You make me sick.....I hope someone shows you for what you really are.

And for my readers, yes I did check with 911 and no, the director was never asked to comment for a story in the RCHE.

The reputation is well known throughout the area. The time will come, patience.
I agree the article was poor journalism at its best. I wonder how accurate the city clerks quotes were. The paper lacks credibility and he likes to build on that. Leave him alone, he digs on his hole deeper every week. But, it does sell papers in Ralls County. Why do we support it? That, my friend, is the ugly truth about this area. Now I need to take a deep breath.
